Sofa Cleaning in Targa, Marrakech
In Targa, the living room almost never has a lone sofa. It has a large L- or U-shaped set, often sewn to measure, with foam that nothing allows to be taken out — and that difference dictates the whole job.
In short
In Targa, in Marrakech, EPUREVA cleans L-shaped and U-shaped sofas at home, element by element and without removing covers sewn to measure. The price depends on the format: 550 MAD incl. VAT for a small L-shaped sofa, 600 MAD for a large one, 650 MAD for a small U-shaped sofa and 750 MAD for a large one; a rug is charged at 30 MAD per m², with a 400 MAD textile minimum per visit. The size, small or large, is checked from your photos.
L or U, small or large: the format sets the price
This is the first thing to know before comparing two quotes, and it clears up most of the price misunderstandings in this neighbourhood.
A sofa is priced per item, by format. Our list knows four: L-shaped, small or large, and U-shaped, small or large. The format is read from your photos — one overall view taken from the living-room doorway, then each corner return — and it is the format, not the number of cushions piled on it, that sets the amount.
A Moroccan salon has no format. Built for the room, it follows the walls and sometimes adds a low bench under a window; our list therefore gives it no price. It is priced separately, from photos, via WhatsApp — like a straight sofa or an armchair.
A Targa villa living room often combines both: a large U-shaped sofa facing the television, a sedari along the walls. Each piece is counted on its own, on the same visit. Formats and their limits are detailed on our sofa page, format by format.
Seat, back, arm rest, cushions — four separate treatments
A large L-shaped or U-shaped sofa is not treated as one continuous surface. Each element has a different thickness, exposure and behaviour, and mixing them up produces exactly what we are trying to avoid: a seat dry on the surface and damp at its core.
- The seat. This is the thickest, most heavily used foam. It is treated in cross passes with a contained water volume, then repeated dry passes. It decides the total time.
- The back. Often a set of independent cushions set against the wall. They are treated on both faces, including the wall-facing side, where humidity settles and rings appear.
- The arm rest. A permanent contact zone, loaded with sebum, with corners and edges the machine struggles to reach. It gets a targeted pre-treatment.
- Decorative cushions. Treated separately, laid flat, and returned last — never put back on a seat that is still damp.
Embroidery, trimmings and metallic threads are done by hand, without a machine and without direct wetting: they are the first to mark, and permanently. On velvet, wool, silk or a fabric no one can identify, the method is confirmed from photos before the date.
Thick foam and controlling moisture at the core
This is technical risk number one on a made-to-measure sofa, and it is invisible during the job itself.
When the seat is deep and sits on a closed timber box with nowhere for water to drain from below, an over-generous injection passes through the foam and sits at the bottom of the box. On the surface, everything looks dry that evening. Three days later, a smell appears, and it does not go away without dismantling.
Our rule is therefore to dose by thickness rather than by surface area, and to check at the core before leaving: the flat of the hand pushed into the centre of the seat, checking the underside, checking the wall-facing sides. This check is done in front of you, and it is part of the service.
Drying then takes half a day to a full day, sometimes longer: the real foam thickness, the volume of the room and the air circulation decide, and the exact timing is given to you according to the method chosen. Until it is completely dry, nobody sits on the sofa and nothing covers it.
A cover that cannot be resewn is not removed
On sofas built by an upholsterer, many covers are sewn to measure, with no zip: they were fitted around the foam, and there is no "removing" them without unpicking a seam.
We do not unpick seams. An opened seam becomes a repair at your expense, and a cover resewn by hand never sits the way it did originally. On these pieces, treatment is done entirely in place. On covers with an original zip, we also leave them fitted: our cleaning is designed to be done on the furniture, not next to it.
After drying, each element is put back to its exact position — reference marks taken at the start, a photo taken beforehand if the room is complex — and decorative cushions come back last. The floor is protected for the whole job and waste water leaves with us; all we need on site is water and electricity.
The amounts in the grid below are in dirhams incl. VAT and indicative: they are confirmed after photos or a visit, and no extra is committed without your agreement. A large U-shaped sofa (750 MAD) and a 2.5 × 4 m rug (10 m² × 30 MAD, i.e. 300 MAD) thus come to 1,050 MAD incl. VAT.
Conversely, a 2 × 2.5 m rug ordered on its own comes to 150 MAD: the 250 MAD minimum top-up brings the visit to 400 MAD.
Rugs, beldi ones included, and the home's mattresses are therefore best done on the same day — wool being a delicate textile, its method is confirmed from photos. Some stains, discolouration or smells may remain: no 100% result is guaranteed. See our other services in Targa and everything we treat without taking anything away.

Frequently asked questions
Does the Moroccan salon in our Targa living room have a price on your list?
No. Our list prices L-shaped and U-shaped sofas, small or large, mattresses and rugs; a made-to-measure Moroccan salon is not on it, nor is a straight sofa or an armchair. Send us an overall view, the corner returns and a close-up of the fabric on WhatsApp: it is priced separately. The L-shaped or U-shaped sofa in the same room keeps its format price.
Do you unpick the covers of a made-to-measure sofa to clean them?
No. Many covers fitted by an upholsterer are sewn around the foam, with no zip: unpicking them would create a repair at your expense, and a cover resewn by hand never sits the way it did originally. Treatment is done entirely in place, on the furniture, including on covers that do have an original zip.
Can a deep seat stay damp at its core after cleaning?
That is the main risk on a made-to-measure sofa, which is why dosing is set by foam thickness rather than surface area. An over-generous injection sits at the bottom of the timber box and produces a smell within days. The core check is done in front of you before the team leaves, then drying takes half a day to a full day, sometimes longer.
How is the price worked out for a Targa living room with a sofa, rugs and mattresses?
Each piece has its price and everything is added up: an L-shaped or U-shaped sofa by its format, a single mattress at 300 MAD incl. VAT or a double at 400 MAD, a rug at 30 MAD per m².
The 400 MAD textile minimum only applies if the total stays below it; grouping the home's pieces on the same visit avoids that top-up. Stains you report do not trigger an automatic surcharge.
