Frequently asked questions

Questions about price and method are answered service by service. This page gathers the ones that come up whatever the service — and that few cleaning companies answer in writing.

In short

EPUREVA is a professional cleaning company registered at 55 avenue Mohammed V in Marrakech. It provides four services: windows and shop fronts, post-construction cleaning, sofas, mattresses and rugs, and standard housekeeping by the day. Published prices are in dirhams incl. VAT and remain indicative until confirmed on photos or a visit. Requests go through WhatsApp on +212 664 58 41 06, reachable seven days a week

What this page covers, and what belongs elsewhere

The questions below are cross-cutting: they apply to a post-construction job as much as to windows, a sofa or a day of housekeeping. Anything that depends on one specific service is dealt with where it is useful:

The three answers that will always depend on your property

Three questions come up every time, and none of them can have an honest universal answer.

"How much does it cost?" — The public grid gives prices incl. VAT per item, per m² or per day. The final amount depends on what the photos show: the number and size of the panes, the height, the floor type, how many building marks are left, the state of the fabric. It is confirmed before the visit, and nothing is added to it unless you have accepted it.

"How long does it take?" — For a post-construction job, duration is expressed in days for a team of 3, calculated from the surface, the number of windows, washrooms and storeys, and the real condition. For standard housekeeping, you choose the number of days; one day does not guarantee that the whole property gets done.

"When can you come?" — A date can be requested from the next day onwards and is confirmed with our team according to the schedule at the time. We give a real date, not a lead time advertised in advance; a date flagged as flexible leaves more choice.

Asking a question that is not on this list

If your situation fits none of the answers below, describe it in a few lines on WhatsApp, with three to five photos. A precise question gets a precise answer; a general question gets a range, which helps nobody.

We also answer when the answer is "that is not our trade": clearing out, removing rubble, glass above 5 metres, or access from a cherry picker or on ropes. The exact perimeter of what we do and what we refuse is set out on the company page, and pricing is requested from the quotation page.

Frequently asked questions

What languages can we write to you and speak to you in?

French, Arabic and Darija without difficulty, and English for written exchanges. Contractual documents — quotation, handover report, invoice — are drawn up in French. A translation of the technical scope can be supplied on request for a business file.

What payment methods do you accept, and when is payment made?

Payment is made after the intervention and after the handover report has been signed, on presentation of the invoice. The methods accepted and any particular conditions applying to business clients are set out with the confirmed price, before approval, so that no arrangement appears for the first time at the moment of paying.

Are the people who come to my property employed by EPUREVA?

Interventions are carried out by operatives supervised by an intervention lead, named on the quotation. Every job has a manager present on site who walks through the control checklist and signs the handover with you. The employment and tax documents required for a business file are supplied with the quotation when they are asked for.

Do you subcontract part of your interventions to other companies?

No: the cleaning is carried out by our own teams. Access at height is not subcontracted either. We work from the ground, with a pole up to 5 metres, and we have neither a cherry picker nor ropes: glass any higher, we turn down rather than pass to a third party.

Rubble and items to throw away are removed before we arrive, by you or by the building contractor, since we do not clear out.

Why does a day of EPUREVA housekeeping cost more than a helper paid by the day?

Because it is not the same service. A day of standard housekeeping is 800 MAD incl. VAT in an apartment and 1,200 MAD incl. VAT in a villa, one person included. That price covers supervision, the equipment and products we bring, a written scope — reachable dusting, vacuuming and mopping, kitchen, washrooms, light terrace upkeep — a compliant invoice and professional liability insurance in force.

Can a team come out without a written quotation?

No. Nothing is committed to until the scope and the price have been confirmed in writing, on WhatsApp, after your photos or a visit. That message states what is included, any surcharges and the amount incl. VAT. It is the only document that allows a result to be challenged, and therefore the only one that protects the client.

At what point do I get a firm intervention date?

Once you have accepted the confirmed price. Until then, the slot is not held and stays available for another job. We do not advertise a standard lead time in advance: a date can be requested from the next day onwards, depends on how loaded the schedule is when you ask, and is stated as it is genuinely achievable.

Can an intervention be booked several months ahead?

Yes, and it is recommended for anything dated by a third party: handing over keys after building work, opening a shop with its windows, moving into a villa. Booking is made on a confirmed price, with the scope checked again a few days before the date, because a site changes between the moment it is booked and the moment it is handed over.

Are there times of year when you are less available?

Demand concentrates on two moments in Marrakech: the sand-wind season, from May to September, which sends window cleaning demand through the roof, and the handover windows of residential developments, generally set at the end of a quarter. In those periods, booking ahead changes everything; outside them, a nearby date is almost always possible.

Can you supply the safety data sheets for the products used?

Yes, on request, and as a matter of course for a business file or premises open to the public. The products are certified and chosen by family — alkaline, neutral, enzymatic, solvent-based — then diluted according to the sheet for the protocol chosen. We do not name a certifying body on the site until the corresponding certificates are attached to the file.

Where does the waste water from hot-water extraction go?

It is recovered in the machine's tank, never left in the sofa, mattress or rug, then emptied into a drain connected to the property's waste system, with the agreement of the owner or the manager. That is why water and power must be available on the day: without them, the machine cannot work.

Can I ask you to use my own products?

There is no need: we bring the equipment and the products. It is possible, but the return-visit guarantee then no longer applies to the surface concerned, because the protocol commits to a precise product-machine pairing. If you have a particular constraint — an allergy, a label, a requirement from a managing agent — say so before the price is confirmed and we will adapt the product family.

Is your equipment noisy for neighbours or adjoining offices?

A rotary machine, a site vacuum and a hot-water extraction unit are audible through a partition wall. In an occupied building, next to a shop that is open or on a shared floor, the schedule is set around the periods when noise disturbs least, and noisy tasks are grouped rather than spread across the day. That point is settled before the date, not on the morning of the job.

How do I recognise your operatives when they arrive?

The name of the intervention lead is on the quotation, and it is that person who contacts you before the team arrives. On a controlled-access estate or in a managed block, the list of names and the vehicle registrations are sent in advance so that access authorisation can be issued.

Which photos should I send to get the price confirmed?

Three to five, in the WhatsApp conversation, straight after your message: an overall view of what needs cleaning, close-ups of the marks — paint, cement, stains — the access — stairs, height of the glass, bars — and any particular surface, such as marble, tadelakt or a delicate fabric. They are what sets the scope and the price; without them, a visit is needed.

Do you clean the outside face of office windows?

No. For offices we offer only the inside face of the glass, at 15 MAD incl. VAT per m² of glass faces with a 500 MAD minimum. A glass partition cleaned on both sides counts both faces. For a shop, on the other hand, the shop windows are cleaned on both sides, at 25 MAD incl. VAT per m².

What happens if the planned access turns out to be impossible on the day?

The team waits a reasonable time and then leaves, and the day is lost for everybody. The recurring causes are known: authorisation not lodged at a gatehouse, no water or power, a gate with no code, trades still at work, rubble not removed. Those prerequisites are recalled with the confirmed price precisely so that they can be checked the day before.

Can a job be interrupted and picked up again another day?

Yes: a villa or a large apartment can take a team of 3 several days. The constraint is that the zones already delivered must not be crossed in the meantime by other trades, otherwise they have to be redone. The order of work is therefore imposed and is part of the protocol, not of the team's convenience.

Should the air conditioning be turned off during and after an intervention?

During, no: a ventilated room dries faster. After a sofa, a mattress or a rug has been treated, it is better to open up than to run air conditioning on a closed circuit, Marrakech outside air often being drier than recycled air. Allow half a day to a full day to dry, sometimes longer, and do not use or cover the textile before it is dry.

What happens if the job takes longer than expected?

If the gap comes from our estimate, it is ours to absorb: the confirmed price does not move. If it comes from a gap between the condition declared and the condition found, it is recorded and photographed on arrival, a new price is put to you, and nothing starts without your agreement.

In standard housekeeping, an extra day or an extra person — 250 MAD incl. VAT per person per day — is added only once you have agreed.

Can I have the same team from one intervention to the next?

On a series of closely spaced interventions, yes: a stable team is a quality factor, because it knows the surfaces, the access routes and the sensitive points of the property. On one-off interventions spread far apart, it is the intervention lead who provides continuity, not necessarily every operative.

What do you do if a risk is discovered on site at the moment of starting?

The intervention is suspended and the point is reported in writing. Exposed electrical wiring, a missing guard rail, an unstable floor, storage of unidentified products: none of that gets worked around. We resume once the situation has been cleared, and the date is rescheduled with no surcharge, since the postponement does not come from you.

How do you calculate the duration of a post-construction job?

From what you declare: interior surface, windows and patio doors, washrooms and toilets, storeys, terraces, the share of floors other than standard tiles, the amount of marks left and whether the property is furnished. The result is a half-day range — for example 2 to 2.5 days — for a team of 3. Those answers are used only for the duration: the price itself is calculated per m².
